The Alaska Lighthouse Association Contract

This contract is performed on behalf of the Alaskan Lighthouse Association (ALA), a group of restoration and preservation societies working to restore and maintain a number of lighthouses on the Alaskan coast, and will be conducted using the newly acquired Bell 412.

Flights will involve ferrying freight, and occasionally personnel, to a number of lighthouses near to the airports of Juneau and Ketchikan, and will be conducted on a monthly basis.  Tasks at each location will be dependent on the cargo on each day, and pilots should use their own judgment whether to conduct  underslung operations or not.

All flights should be conducted during daylight hours, and as such, flight times should be adjusted accordingly.  Helipads should be used when provided, otherwise land as close to the building as possible (Eldred Rock is unlandable, therefore pilots should land at the base of the rock itself).  The flight between Ketchikan and Juneau is a re-positioning flight, and pilots may wish to use this time to explore the dramatic scenery in the area.

You will need the Alaska Lighthouse scenery (filename aklights04.zip) which is available at www.avsim.com

This scenery is only FS2004 (FS9) compatible.
