| The
EMB-120 was developed from a requirement for a pressurised thirty seat
aircraft based on the smaller EMB-110. After its first flight in
July 1983 certification for operations followed initially from the
Brazilian Aviation Authorities and then the Federal Avaition Authority of
the USA. The basic design has been modified with increases in
general performance and also passenger comfort arriving at the EMB-120ERX
